Richard Lovell held the position of CEO EMEA & Latin America before becoming Chairman of Carlson Wagonlit Travel. He then took on the role of non-executive chairman of U.K. hotel booking agency Expel.

He was honoured by the British Travel Industry Hall of Fame in 2009.
